Dear Parents/Guardians:
The 56th Annual District Music Festival will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at South Plainfield High School.
In an effort to provide you with ample time to plan, details of the evening are outlined as follows:
· The concert will be performed in three short segments. The first portion of the concert, which starts at 6:00 pm, will be band music. The second portion, which starts at 7:00 pm, will be orchestra music. The third and final portion, which starts at 8:00 pm, will be choral music. Between each segment, there will be a brief intermission.
· Just a note: The High School Jazz Band will be performing prior to the first orchestral segment (Doors open at 5:15pm). The Middle School Jazz Band will be performing during the orchestra segment (at 7:00pm). The High School Chamber Choir and the Middle School GEMS vocal groups will be performing during the band segment (at 6:00pm).
There will be a limited number of tickets sold for each portion of the program. You must purchase a separate ticket for each segment of the concert that you would like to attend. The price for each ticket per segment will be $4.00. Please note that all sales are final. There are no refunds. All proceeds benefit all of the music department’s K-12 programs.
Advance sales will be conducted through each individual school until Tuesday, February 25. After that date, tickets will be only available online until March 6.
TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.
ADVANCE SALES ONLY.
Tickets are also available for purchase online after February 1. Tickets purchased online must be printed at home. There is no service fee if purchased via check through your child’s music teacher. Please note that:
In order to provide a safe and secure environment for all our children, specific areas will be designated for students and for parents/guests. Your cooperation in following all directions carefully is necessary to ensure a wonderful concert experience. Please note that all students are expected to stay to the end of the segment in which they are performing. The goal of the festival is to have the younger students experience the performances of the older students.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we strive to provide an exciting and rewarding evening of music. Your support of the music and academic programs in our schools is valued and appreciated.
Sincerely,
Andrew Veiss,
Music Dept. Team Leader
